About privacy information protection (privacy policy)
Japan Aquatic Products Export Council (hereafter the Council) establishes the personal information protection policy as described below. The Council establishes a mechanism to protect personal information, and by recognizing its importance to our members, the Council will promote the personal information protection by thorough efforts.
Management of personal information
The Council maintains the personal information of our clients accurately and up to date, and maintains the security system to prevent unauthorized access causing loss, damage, alteration, or leakage of the personal information. For that purpose, the Council employs and conduct necessary safety measures including education of the Council staff members to achieve strict management of personal information.
Purpose of using personal information
Personal information received from the clients will be used to send council announcements, business information and documents as a response to inquiries by E-mail or any other communication tools.
Prohibition of disclosure and provision of personal information to third parties
The Council shall properly manage personal information deposited by clients and will not disclose it to any third party unless it falls under any of the following cases.
・ When there is client consent.
・ In the case where the Council discloses client’s information to a business entrusted by our company in order to provide the services that the client desires.
・ When it is necessary to disclose based on laws and regulations.
・ When disclosing to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and/or the Japan External Trade Organization for the purpose of use in business related to export promotion.
Referrals of the principal
If the customer wishes to inquire, modify or delete personal information of the person himself / herself, we will respond upon confirmation that the customer is the principal.
Compliance and review of laws and norms
The Council will comply with Japanese laws and other norms applied to personal information held, and review the contents of this policy as appropriate and make efforts to improve it.
